Day 01: Mafia Island → Dar es Salaam / Kigamboni — Approx. 6–8+ Hours Sailing
Begin the dhow expedition from Mafia to Kigamboni. Enjoy ocean views, fishing, swimming and marine-life experiences along the way. Overnight: Kigamboni – Lodge / Guesthouse.
Day 02: Dar es Salaam & Kigamboni Coastal Experience — Full Day
Explore Kigamboni through beach relaxation, coastal culture, local food and a community experience. Overnight: Kigamboni – Lodge / Guesthouse.
Day 03: Kigamboni → Zanzibar — Approx. 6–8+ Hours Sailing
Continue the ocean journey towards Zanzibar. Enjoy the open sea, fishing and swimming before arriving in Zanzibar. Overnight: Zanzibar – Lodge / Hotel.
Day 04: Zanzibar Culture & History — Full Day
Explore Stone Town, discover Zanzibar’s Swahili heritage and visit a spice farm. Overnight: Zanzibar – Lodge / Hotel.
Day 05: Zanzibar Island & Coastal Adventure — Half Day
Enjoy a relaxed morning followed by a half-day coastal adventure such as snorkeling, swimming, sandbank exploration or a beach experience. Return to the hotel to relax and prepare for the return journey. Overnight: Zanzibar – Lodge / Hotel.
Day 06: Zanzibar → Dar es Salaam / Kigamboni — Approx. 6–8+ Hours Sailing
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Zanzibar before departing around midday/early afternoon for Dar es Salaam. Overnight: Kigamboni – Lodge / Guesthouse.
Day 07: Dar es Salaam / Kigamboni → Mafia Island — Approx. 6–8+ Hours Sailing
Begin the final dhow cruise back to Mafia Island, with opportunities for swimming, fishing and enjoying the ocean scenery. End of Expedition: Mafia Island.
